Rachel Alexandra, winner of the Preakness Stakes, will finally make her way to New York, albeit in a less visible race than what racing fans had hoped for back in May when Calvin Borel rode her to victory in the second leg of the Triple Crown. Alexandra will be running at Belmont Park for the Grade 1 Mother Goose race a week from Saturday.
Beyond the Mother Goose, any plans for the filly are pure speculation. The rest of the story is here at Horse Race Insider.
Rachel Alexandra was sired by big money winner Medaglia d'Oro and grandsired by Irish champion El Prado, the "sire of sires."
