The End of 1940!

As I previously mentioned, Sunday was the 15th anniversary of the New York Rangers game seven Stanley Cup Finals victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

There have been some interesting stories about things that happened leading up to that night and the aftermath, as well. One of note came from John Davidson during the broadcast of the top five greatest moments in MSG history. JD said that after the Rangers lost game six in Vancouver, the Air Canada baggage handler put ‘1940’ tags on all of the New York players’ luggage. Davidson had a laugh about it although thought it was a bit much.

Thankfully, it had no impact on the outcome of the series.
