March Matchups: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Shark Boy?

Well that’s it folks, we’ve got one more match here at March Matchups and that will take place next Sunday, the same day as Wrestlemania 24. Of course, that will be when Hulk Hogan squares off against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin here at the Big Dick Dudley Memorial Coliseum. Next week, I’ll preview Wrestlemania and also take a walk down memory lane with a look back at some of my favorite Wrestlemania matches.

But before we go any further…why wait just a second! Look who has come out to join us…it’s Shark Boy from T.N.A. (Total Nonstop Action)! This is the guy who has been copying Steve Austin’s shtick, albeit with a few differences. For example, instead of drinking beer, Shark Boy drinks clam juice. But wait, just as Shark Boy (pictured above) enters the ring, we hear the music of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the real person comes out. He hits Shark Boy with the stunner and referee Billy Barty counts one, two, three for the Austin pinfall victory in an impromptu match. This whole episode proves that although imitation may be the greatest form of flattery, it might just get you a stunner.

While Austin celebrates with a beer bash in the ring and Shark Boy lays on the mat groggy, Hulk Hogan appears just outside the squared circle. The two appear ready to fight, but we will all have to wait until March 30 for the dream match of the century to take place! Too bad Shark Boy won't be able to watch that match here at the Coliseum, because it looks like he's headed back to the shark tank (featured above left) inside the Sports Haven on 600 Long Wharf Drive in New Haven, Connecticut.
