A report here says that John Cena and Randy Orton have faced each other 24 times on pay-per-view since 2004 and so that means that SummerSlam will be the 25th meeting.
That same Website is reporting that there is a great deal of frustration backstage due to the fact that it is the same guys - Triple H, Randy Orton and John Cena - getting the top billing. Understandable.
Jim Ross always says that the sum of matches is what sells a pay-per-view and not any one particular bout. If that's the case then what would have been wrong with Jack Swagger facing Orton at SummerSlam and why did the W.W.E. have the whole "beat the clock" challenge to determine an opponent for Orton when everyone knew it would be Cena or Hunter?
In other news, Brian Kendrick was released today. Now that was a talent that the W.W.E. "creative writing" team absolutely ruined! I hope he lands on his feet somewhere.
Elijah Burke signed with T.N.A.; which is one of the better moves that company has made in quite a while.
