The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey will be getting out this fall for some solo gigs. Daltrey says he has to keep his voice active since The Who perform so infrequently.
One of my favorite performances of Daltrey is when he got together with Irish band, The Chieftains and produced the CD, The Chieftains: An Irish Evening: Live At The Grand Opera House, Belfast. The Chieftains have also performed with Daltrey at other live events.
Here is a link to Daltrey performing "After The Fire" with The Chieftains and Sinead O'Connor at Carnegie Hall in 1994. The Who had considered playing this song at The Concert for NYC after 9/11, but thought the song was too sad for the event.

I've seen this now noted on the Who official website too, and it's all US dates.. It's great news for those in the US and Canada, but wish he was touring over in the UK
