Latest New York Rangers News

Arthur Staple opines here that Chris Drury must step up for head coach John Tortorella this season. Gee, being that he is the team's captain I would say that's not a bad idea.

Although the New York Post's Larry Brooks says that Dallas may be looking to deal Brad Richards and that the Blueshirts have inquired, I've read that the Rangers are more likely to pick up free agent forward Alex Tanguay. Regardless, most people believe that Glen "The Savior" Sather has at least one deal up his sleeve to complete this very much incomplete and haphazardly put together team.

Meanwhile, former Rangers' tough guy Chris Nilan was recently arrested in Quincy, Mass. after Lord & Taylor security guards accused him of stealing a bathing suit. The case has now been dismissed after Nilan agreed to stay out of the store and paid $100 in court costs.
