George Willis of the New York Post writes here about the death of Vernon Forrest who has been described as the only decent man in boxing.
Forrest joins Alexis Arguello and Arturo Gatti as boxers whose lives have been cut short recently. Forrest was 38 and was the first man to defeat "Sugar" Shane Mosley.
At this point, there are no suspects.
Vernon "The Viper" Forrest is a former I.B.F. and W.B.C. Welterweight Champion.
