It has been announced that Tony Amonte will be inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame; joining the 1998 U.S. women's Olympic hockey team, and former U.S. Olympic medalists John LeClair and Tom Barrasso as well as inventor Frank Zamboni, who'll be inducted posthumously.
Amonte was drafted by the Rangers and was absolutely despised by head coach Mike Keenan who was instrumental in getting him dealt to Chicago at the 1994 trade deadline for Brian Nooonan and Stephane Matteau.
More on the inductees here.
