Monday Night Raw and E.C.W. On Sci-Fi Recaps

I was unable to see either Monday Night Raw or ECW on Sci-Fi in their entirety, but I got to watch a good amount of both. I’m really looking forward to Sunday night’s Royal Rumble. I have the results of both shows posted below.

Triple H will be in the Rumble after winning a mini-Rumble of sorts over Snitsky, Mark Henry, and William Regal. Shawn Michaels superkicked Mr. Kennedy to open Monday’s telecast, the first Raw in high definition. I’ve read that there were some technical kinks to work out. Yeah, tell me about it.

I have to say that every time I see Shawn Michaels I realize that this guy should probably be the “face” of the W.W.E. Due to Michaels’ age and not wanting to work the grueling schedule that the regulars do, Michaels works on a fairly minimal basis. But I’d still like to see him take the title one more time.

CM Punk lost the E.C.W. Championship to Chavo Guerrero last night due to outside interference from World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Ironically, this will elevate CM Punk to some main events with Edge.

In other news, John Cena has been making a bunch of media appearances in promotion of the upcoming Royal Rumble. He recently told a British newspaper that he will be starting to work on a new film in a couple of weeks and that the shooting will last five months. Cena added that he won’t be in a W.W.E. ring for another 6-12 months. Ouch! The film is W.W.E.-produced and Cena’s second, following The Marine, which did well on DVD. This report conflicts with what I recently wrote that John Cena is being factored into Wrestlemania by the writing team of W.W.E.

E.C.W. Recap

Keep it in the Ring!
