Calvin Borrell will ride Kentucky Oaks' winner Rachel Alexandra at Saturday’s Preakness, this instead of Mine That Bird which Borrell galloped to victory the day after the Oaks at the Kentucky Derby.How does the expression go? The thing is that Alexandra is a filly so in essence Borrell is leaving with a girl, except that knowing how superstitious some of these jockeys are, isn’t it a little bit strange that Borrell would switch horses. Borrell (pictured with Rachel), though, says that she is the best horse he has ever ridden. Anyway, Mike Smith will ride Mine That Bird on Saturday at the 134th Preakness Stakes.
