Pete Townshend - Won't Get Fooled Again
Pete Townshend played a short set at the Prince's Trust Benefit Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on November 23. More from the concert at my other blog Who Zeppelin.

The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
Great video from October 2001 of The Who at Madison Square Garden for the Concert for New York City. This is the last time that John Entwistle (October 9, 1944-June 27, 2002) would be on stage with Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend in America.

The Who - Pure and Easy
"Pure and Easy" is one of my favorite songs by The Who, if for nothing else but its great lyrics.
The song is Track 10 of the Who's album - Who's Next and is the original version recorded at the Record Plant in New York on March 17, 1971. Pete Townshend said that his one regret about Who's Next was that "Pure and Easy" was not included when the album was first released. The song, which was included on the 1995 reissue of the album, is the basis for the Lifehouse project.
The Civil Wars
I was watching the Americana Awards last week - mostly to see Alison Krauss open the show and Robert Plant sing "Monkey" with Patty Griffin - but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the other musicians on the show including The Civil Wars. Here they sing "Barton Hollow."
